We made it y’all! It is week eight of the One Room Challenge which means I am finally able to reveal the office and craft room. I am so happy to be done with this space and to be able to share it with you all. This has been an incredible experience and I am beyond proud of myself (and hubby) for bringing this project to life!
If you have not been following along for the last 7 weeks or have missed some of the posts, you can catch up here:

Allow me to give you a brief recap of the project and how it all started:
I have always dreamed of having my own home office and craft room. I knew that one day I was going to make that dream a reality; the timeframe was never set though until this opportunity arose. My friend Tara suggested I join ORC, as the perfect opportunity to keep me accountable of achieving my ideal goal.
Our canvas was an empty bedroom on the other side of my house. It was a basic in structure, which allowed us to install brand new flooring to our liking. The most perfect spaces are the simple ones, because it allows for all the creative juices to flow and design something amazing!
We went from this….
To this….
To this, the final reveal….
Over the last couple of weeks, we have learned so much through this challenge. Like before, DIYs, remodeling, transforming, and designing spaces is a hobby for us (mostly me) that I drag my husband into. Thank God he is so supportive!
We found a stunning desk from Pottery Barn, that was way out of budget, so we decided to improvise. Therefore, I got creative and with the help of my husband, this masterpiece was created. Would you believe me if I told you that we accomplished all of this for less than $2,000? That is right! We saved over $7,000 just by doing it ourselves.
Linking all the sources that were used to create the office and craft room of my dream.
DIY Desk– We purchased 2 unfinished kitchen base cabinets to use as our desk and paired it with this beautiful 10’ beech butcher board.
DIY Built ins– As I mentioned previously in another blog post, my husband and I are not carpenters nor are we contractors, so we have had to learn to work smarter not harder. I hit the jackpot when I found these bookcases and they happened to the right size to transform them into built ins. We added wood trims to customize them and give them the built ins look.
Paint– Behr-Norwegian Blue, my favorite moody blue-grey
Wallpaper– Peel and stick wallpaper from Love Vs. Designs
All other additional accessories are from a variety of stores like Target, Ikea, HomeGoods and At Home.
I cannot believe the last eight weeks have flown by. As a newbie to the One Room Challenge, I’m overjoyed with all the knowledge I have claimed and that I’m leaving with a grateful heart. Thank you again for following along as I built the office and craft room of my dreams. It has been an honor to create and design alongside all the ORC participants.
